Privacy Policy

Kashni is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account or using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or permanently delete the account and remove any associated personal data.

What We Collect

When you create a profile on Kashni, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, age, gender, ethnicity, religious practice, city of residence, and photographs. We also collect usage data, such as the features you interact with, and device information to improve the service, maintain security, and ensure the app works correctly on your device.

Advertising 

Kashni is free to use and is supported in part by advertising. We display ads through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC.

To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and process limited technical information from your device, including:

  • Advertising identifiers (such as Android's Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA)
  • General device information (device model, operating system, language, screen size)
  • Approximate (coarse) location, derived from IP address or device settings
  • App usage data related to ad interactions (impressions, clicks, and engagement)

AdMob does not have access to your Kashni profile details, messages, Salams, or any other content you share within the app. Ad personalization is separate from and does not affect how your profile is shown to other members.

Consent. Where required by law — including for users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and other regions with similar requirements — Kashni presents a consent form before showing personalized ads or before any ad-related data collection begins. You may change your consent choices at any time from within that form or your device's privacy settings. If you do not consent, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you (non-personalized).

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to display your profile to compatible potential spouses, personalize your experience on the platform, send important account and security notifications, and maintain the safety and integrity of the Kashni community. We will never sell your personal data to third parties, and we will never use it for targeted advertising.

Who Sees Your Profile

Your profile is visible only to verified Kashni members. You control which details are shown at any time from the Settings screen. Your contact information, such as your phone number or email address, is never visible to other users.

Salams & Messages

Content you exchange through Salams and messages is stored securely on our servers. We do not read private conversations except where it is strictly necessary to investigate a reported violation of our Community Guidelines or where required by applicable law.

Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, along with Firebase Security Rules, to protect your data. Profile photos are served exclusively over secure CDN links. Passwords are hashed using strong one-way algorithms and are never stored in plain text.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, photographs, and messages within 30 days. Some data may be retained for a longer period where required by applicable law or to resolve disputes.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. You may exercise these rights by visiting the Settings screen in the app or by contacting us directly. We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

Kashni uses Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and storage services. These providers operate under their own privacy policies and are bound by contractual data processing agreements with us. We do not share your data with any other third parties without your explicit consent.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Kashni after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

Kashni - Account Deletion Method

How to Delete Your Account You can permanently delete your Kashni account at any time by following these steps: Open the Kashni app and sign in. Go to Profile . Tap Delete Account . Confirm your decision when prompted. Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted immediately after confirmation.
